MNI Financial is working with a tech manufacturing business based in High Wycombe to recruit an accountant. This will be a broad role within this start up organisation and will play a crucial part in the continued growth of the business as it moves into a very exciting phase. The accountant will be involved in all areas of finance from the monthly reporting to assisting the Financial Controller with more commercial and analytical duties. Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working alongside an Accounts Assistant the role will have broad ranging responsibilities covering monthly and statutory reporting, business support analysis and ad hoc project work.


Specific Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Prepare monthly sales and grant reports
• Liaise with relevant staff to update and interpret relevant sales and cost forecasts 
• Undertake balance sheet reconciliations, maintain fixed assets register and undertake stock analysis 
• Support year end accounting work, preparing for annual audit, gathering R&D tax information etc
• Support the Financial Controller in preparation of annual budget
• Provide support and cover for the Accounts Assistant
• Undertake ad hoc project work, eg developing new management reports, variance analysis, improving VAT reporting, supporting process of improving forecasting accuracy etc

Profile:

• Experience in a broad accounting role 
• A strong drive and ambition, willingness to learn and a positive attitude; 
• Studying towards an accounting qualification – CIMA/ACCA/ACA 
• Advanced Excel
• Great commercial acumen, ability to communicate with colleagues across all departments
• The ability and willingness to be involved at a transactional level; 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; and 
• The flexibility to meet changing needs and priorities. 

Salary:

£30,000 - £38,000 + study support + benefits
