MNI Financial is currently working with a global successful business based near Newbury for an ambitious and driven Business Development person with experience of the freight forwarding market, who is looking to work within a dynamic organisation that has an exceptional reputation.

Our client is a fast growing and highly ambitious mid-size UK based freight forwarder and they are now looking for a skilled Business Development Manager. You’ll work with a team of forward thinking individuals in a dynamic environment with the opportunity to contribute to the next and exciting phase of their growth strategy.

The company strategy is to nurture and develop individuals whilst providing every opportunity to achieve personal success through their highly lucrative incentive scheme. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. The candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have demonstrated the ability to execute a particular strategy.

Responsibilities

Identify strategic & growth opportunities and generate a strong pipeline of leads
Successfully win and implement new business and partnerships
Develop new relationships at all levels in an effort to grow business
Maintain and grow existing book of business through outstanding Account Management
Deliver through a consultative sales approach
Qualifications and experience

Degree in a business related discipline, diploma or equivalent experience
3 - 4 years' prior industry related business development experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strategic and forward thinker
Team player
Customer focused
Focused and goal-oriented with proven success
